Event Description

Dublin City CSA meeting

Community Supported Agriculture involves establishing a relationship with a farmer for a growing season. It benefits both parties in that buyers get good quality food straight from source(no middlemen) and the farmer gets a fair price for produce. The risk involved in producing is also shared.
There are plans to establish a CSA to be run as a pilot for the coming growing year in Dublin. If you're interested in getting involved come to a meeting in Hughes pub,Smithfield, Thursday 18th October. 7.30 pm

Some info on CSA's in the UK for anyone interested. A follow up meeting is happening on the 15th of November, again in Hughes bar, at 7.30

Sounds like a good idea, but I won't be able to attend unfortunately.
I hope it goes well.

If something starts up on the back of this meeting, make sure to post it somewhere, to let people know who would contribute in the future.
