Prayer -- Public and Private???

I have been learning a bit about astrotheology/zodiac but i find one needs to go to the bible to get some good astrology knowledge(thats what the fecker was writen for!!!)but in me search i have come across some brill stuff for all those that want to preach to others Matthew 6:5 - 7

5. And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites [are]: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.

Jesus says you must definitely not pray as the hypocrites pray.

6 But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly.
7 But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen [do]: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking.

Here Jesus says when thou prayest, you must pray this way:
(1) enter into thy closet.
(2) shut the door.
(3) pray to thy Father which is in secret.
(4) use not vain repetitions.

(Prayer must be in private, not in front of other people.
Do not repeat things over and over again in prayer)

An attribute of a true Christian is: He only prays in private, never in public... well well they never taught me that,why would they?????

And here is a great passage just to let ye know that most people dont and wont ever have an idea what that book actually means as long they believe what the perv's says it means....

11 He answered and said unto them, Because it is given unto you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it is not given . 12 For whosoever hath , to him shall be given , and he shall have more abundance : but whosoever hath not, from him shall be taken away even that he hath . 13 Therefore speak I to them in parables: because they seeing see not; and hearing they hear not, neither do they understand .

I still see people going on sundays to give there money to them like the lost souls they trully are!!!!!!!!This book tells all about making the eye single to get to the light, pray on your own/meditate!!god is inside you/pineal gland!!!and thats how you reach heaven not by PRAYING TO FUCKING PERV'S FFS!!!!

Well, there ya go it says it all! Jesus, was a great man and he did, for his sufferings, leave us something we can use, unlike the Churches that 'operate' in his name. Religion is control. If you must read the Bible, get one that is at least as it was written! If not, throw out all the judge-mentals and think of what you would say. Love is the first, responsibility is the second and honesty is the third.

Prayer and contemplation are very similar. I think what the writers of the bible might have been trying to convey to all the idiots back in the day was. 'Listen yis pack of muppets, start feckin thinking for yerselves. I mean your going around looking to be led all the fecking time. Do a bit of soulsearching there and find out what it is you are all about and maybe try constuct a plan which is longer than 5 minutes long instead of which girl is going to be my next rape victim.' So prayer might have been a time for them to search for the calm inside which we all have the power to do and find that contemplative moment which can bring clarity by having an inner discussion with ourselves. It's just self knowledge really and getting to know our parts a and how they can work in alignment with each other.
