What is The Nation Communication Project?

The Nation Communication project is a meduim to help people co-ordinate each others actions, so that we
move in unison across the nation e.g spreading fluoride awareness all at once then all of us going to the no fluoride day in May)

I think it goes without saying that this is hugely important, so that our actions will have massive power with our numbers, we can influence so much if we do it together. We all know how difficult it is to change anything in small groups that are isolated in its effort. But in unison I wouldn't be suprised if we would not only change the mindset of many peoples thinking nation wide but also ended up on the media!

How it works is simple, that co-ordinaters of groups will discuss and decide a mode of action, to spread awareness on a certain topic or take a particular action be it nation wide locally or all of us meeting up from our local groups to a specific spot.
So once certain action is decided, it will be discussed by each co-ordinater to its local group and then they would organize the specifics of their action according to their local area or organize travel arrangements.

It also would be a great place for people starting new groups to learn and ask from experienced co-ordinaters so that they can get a regular and active group meeting. And also if any groups have certain needs (specially smaller groups as they don't have as many people to deligate tasks to) the larger groups can supply them in whatever way possible e.g flyers, summaries of information etc.

If this builds enough momentum we can change Ireland into a thinking nation, So co-ordinaters, please join!
And if there is no local group in your area, please consider starting one and being co-ordinater to a meeting, its much easier then you think!

Hey everyone,
I feel strongly that we need to organize, and meet up in every area possible of Ireland to create a nationwide
community, with which we can locally hold meetings to organize nationwide movement. The larger groups can help the smaller
groups with things like flyers, information summmaries etc on current issues. And after spreading awareness nationwide we
could move together in one spot (organizing in our local meetings) and act on a nationwide issue!

So please I urge you to start a regular meeting in your local area, and if there is already one to join it.

I have started a new group named "The nation communication project" which I would like the co-ordinaters of the meetings to join.
This way we could easily have information of nationwide movement hit local areas.
I am from Cork and attend regular meetings there

Thats as good a reason as any to home school your kids.

I did not like school at all and have no fond memories of

it, even after all these intervening years. My folks could

not care less how I did there and most of our time in

school was spent trying to avoid getting hammered,

learning came a distant second if at all. Sure wish I

had parents like you two.

Best of luck to you.

hey brian, thanks for our kind words

will be good to meet up in athlone soon

as for your curiosity regarding why i wish to home ed

its like this

ihave 3 children 11 9 and 7.

our middle child is a  intelligent, sensitive  and creative body and soul.he has lots of friends in school ,he is easy to get along with and is a "good to have around young man"

i think i am right in attempting to explain school as being" a huge rush which takes hours and hours......and hours to end at 3pm .5 days a week.

the huge rush is keeping up with swift writers, if other class mated have answered 8 questions and he is only on number 4 he feels slow and stupid .self confidence and selp esteem  take a bashing.

homework(don/t get me started)the doing, the thinking the procrastination the worry and the gut and heart felt instinct he has, that he  does not want to do it,that he has done school stuff all day and now its time for other stuff to stimulate the senses.time to simply be.

he is good at tests, gets high marks but when i sit at a parent teacher meeting these results are meant to indicate a student doing well, but i see a boy who is not in a natural (to him)environment and is not thriving.

simply there is more to childhood and more to learning and with only weekends alloted as free time for extra curriculum activities as i have heard them called, I say thats not our path.

i could go on but if your interested thats a face to face conversation.

my eldest is standing firm blanking any alternatives and is happy to go to school un blinkered. and our youngest well we'll see what happens

we officially withdrew our son from school last friday.

today was a great day and i look forward to more time with my children .

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

the opposite to right is left, not wrong!

choose your path

there is another way.

peace and light to you brian

Hello Mishel, I really don't know anything about home schooling children.

You could do a search of the net and see if there is anything on there

about it. I am curious though as to why you wish to do this. Is it

something you wanted to do for a long time or has the idea just come

up recently. These are hard times for us all, so I would not be too hard

on yourself. Besides your kids, like most young ones are highly

empathic and will pick up on your feelings.

As for a meet up, if its not at the weekend, it will be highly unlikely

that I will be able to attend. In either case I wish you the best of

luck with this idea of yours.

I can go any weekend and evenings for the weeks I am on day shift.

Plus I'm off work over the Xmas. Just play it by ear and don't worry

about attendance, some will come and some won't be able to make

it. But will next time and so on. Once it gets rolling you will have

more folks than you know what to do with, everyone is fed up with

the current game of life and wish to change it to a better one, that

more suits their interests and developement. Hotels are good places

for small numbers at the start, your choice for the first meeting was

great. You can arrange halls or theatre's when the group gets bigger.

For now just meet!
