Well, it probably would if they stopped putting fluoride in the water! I wonder about that, because in France the government act up and there are serious riots, in point of fact the French, Welsh and Irish are from the same genetic line, it makes me think!

yes, and at least we can say we tried to make a difference. If enough people would do the same... look at egypt, there they are making a difference en masse. Same thing will happen in ireland as well. Specially now the banks are adding another 3% to the morguage rates.... this will cause social unrest for sure.

So a partial success not a total one, not a waste of time either as it made people sit up and listen. Good result!

well, we went to the judge. He was a dog lover as well, and basically (and you had to listen in between the lines so now and then) he said that he in his position as judge of the civil court, had not enough power to overrule a national law or question it. We ought to fight his ruling to the next court. He also said that we unfortunately we had to appeal within 14 days of his ruling. And we would need a sollicitor as wel for this. 14 days was for us too short to find all out about the irish legal system wether we should have any change to fight this. We know that in the european ground things are moving as well, there are already town counsels in the Netherlands that don't collect dog license money anymore.
Anyway, we have had or saying in public, we awokened (hopefully) some people in the audience, since the athmosphere in the court room went from a depressing slumber to an alerted audience. Even the sollicitors (I had people with me wou could observe the room) were surprised by our unconventional but perfectly polite and reasonable approach. We could tell that the judge welcomed this new approach. He completely settled himself in his chair as to "listen and enjoy" to this "unusual" approach. Instead of being "the accused" we opened with some strong statments that woke everybody up. So... we didn't win, but we had our saying that we didn't agree and.... we had fun in court and to have atleast some heads turned. The prosecutor was confronted with several questions from the judge where he had no answer to and stammerred during the whole trial. But as the judge said. Wrong court to try and change the rules. No overruling possible there (like we are used in the Netherlands) and we haven't the time or the knowledge and connections, (nor the money) to fight it all to the top on our own.

Thats the Macroom court location, I'm not sure where Bandon court is, ring the Gardai they will be able to help you, they are pretty good in Macroom.

well, it's the only way to get law changes isn't it. And it is a moral issue for me that I do wan't to pay for relocating stray or collected dogs to a good home, but I have moral issues that I have to pay for the murdering of dogs because they "deem this the easiest option", that is barbarism to my opinion and no law can force a citizen to pay to contribute to murder. So the killing of dogs has to stop.

The court in Macroom is the old building next to the Garda station, which is up the hill on the left at the first pedestrian crossing approaching from the west. Good luck with the hearing!
