Comment by Spirality on December 4, 2012 at 20:22 Here is an interesting site for those interested in fun science for kids of all ages. They have a good range of interesting materials, tools and equipment, some with quite exotic properties.

Hi Mishel. Thanks for sharing your experiences. Our kids are not of school going age yet but we need to research the territory before we go into it. It's useful to us and I'd say to others too to hear your story.
Comment by mishel on November 26, 2012 at 1:05 if you thinking of home educating with love and repect.
its an advantage to you if your children are NEVER enrolled in a school
and it ideal if a nosy neighbour keeps their nose out of your business.
and its a near perfect world if you never have to deal with a government agent called the NEWB
dont do business with them
they are trying ever so hard to enforce themselves on my family.
they dont seem to care about education, children, welfare or families, thats been our experience.
all they are interested in is compliance and governance
they are ment to help and support parents and home educating families. in 22 months i have recieved the direct opersite .
SIGN NON OF THEIR APPLICATION FORMS, DO NOT CONTRACT. and if they contact you and you do not wish to register with them "return to sender" and good riddence.
Comment by Spirality on September 22, 2012 at 17:40 For those interested in exploring Science in a new way, check out this online book by Patrick Kelly,
http://www.free-energy-info.co.uk/
It covers many types of technology that are often suppressed by the established Scientific Community, as fringe technology challenges their authority because of its availability to all.
The book is in PDF version as standard, but each chapter is viewable as a normal HTML web page aswel. It is written simply and clearly, and is very helpful for building your own devices and projects.
A couple of other helpful technology related sites, well worth a look...

Comment by Howard Crane on January 26, 2012 at 17:16 Thanks for founding and building up this group, guys. I myself was deeply maleffected by schooling as I see most people are unless they're already dead inside and didn't mind sitting in the one room for 18+ years.
Has anyone ever heard of the schooling model built around the work of Rudolf Steiner?

we are tomorrow on day 3, feeling our way.I would love to get a picture in my mind of "how you do it"

our local school principle contacted the newb after we asked for our son to be taken off the school register and was told she was unable to do so without the say so of the newb.
we are planning to send the newb a Notice not a request for permission to home ed
