Spirality said… Kevin, here is that circuit you want me to build, these instructions will enable you to build it yourself, even if you use different components http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HKjoDuYKAs8
You can either twist the components together like he does, or solder them aswel.
Get the components from an electronic component shop, like Maplins, and if its your first circuit it might be better to borrow a soldering iron and some solder, instead of investing - in case its not to your taste.
Decide which circuit you want to build and list the part numbers to bring shopping. Remember that some components have an orientation (polarity) and if they are assembled wrongly the circuit won't work at all. It was suggested to me that other diodes will handle more poser, such as 1N4004
You may need to link several of these circuits together to have enough power to charge an mp3 player or phone.
The size and elevation of your antenna will make all the difference, bigger and higher is better. You should read the chapter on ariel systems in this book.
An example of a home-made antenna for this purpose is a sheet of aluminium foil covered in cling film on both sides, and sealed along the edge with tape. You can use whatever metal you have to hand, and if there are no external poles to hang it from, you can put it in the attic.
There are lots of youtube videos that show different people's efforts, and there are also forums where circuit builders combine ideas, for example overunity.com
You will find that there are many more ways to produce electricity than just circuits and antenna power. Good Luck!
