OK. This is my position. I have no problem doing the job. But I need to know where jurisdiction starts and ends. I really don't want to be arguing this with Gardai on a street corner when I should be doing my job. Next, we are going to be dealing with some very nasty people. Do we get firearms? I am not going to die for this. If we do, what is the status of these firearms in Irish Law, in theory, Bunreacht, allows for self defense. Basically, if I'm taking on the scum of the Earth, they will have armaments and they will use them, I have to protect myself. I am trained in the use of both rifle and pistol and I am an accredited trainer. Before I go further I need answers. I want to do this for the right reasons, but I will not risk life and limb (neither will my son, who is also interested and capable) until we know our safety is being taken seriously
