If you're into the compensatory and self-coping skills of the unconscious you could give "The Power of Negative Thinking" by Tony Humphreys (Irish chap) a read, and anything by R.D. Laing/schizophrenia as a re-organising tactic.
Anything on The Eight Circuit Model of Consciousness by Timothy Leary is helpful. And anything concerning Chaos Magic.

Of course you have Freud and Jung, but I'm sure you've come across them. An interesting fellow who took after them is Wilhelm Reich, whom also invented a form of free energy. He talks about it on a more energetic and emotional basis.

I mean that we, our Egoic awareness, are like boats on a giant ocean. The ocean is the rest of our experience and selfhood. When we dream, drink, take drugs, dance, pray, or chant - we commune with the rest of ourselves. But how you experience that is up to your intention, what you're doing, and why. During your day and especially hours before sleep is a sensitive time where you can effect your dreamtime. And what you see in your dreams can impact you more than any real experience.
