hi, yesterday my husband recieved a call by someone identifying himself as a guard , he asked my husband if he owned a scoda and had he overtaken him on a certain road my husband said yes he did and that he thought it was a broken white line , the guard said he was not going to prosecute but would be sending a fine in the post , today however we whent to check and it is a broken white line , no intention of paying this nazi tax , but does any body know if this is legal , sounds dodgy to me

Comment by Howard Crane on February 17, 2012 at 5:04 That's not USUAL "protocol". Normally said fine just arrives because there's no reason for it to be any other way. Your husband must have rightly pissed off this Guard or something.
It's legal in the sense that it isn't ILlegal.
So I'd suggest you wait for this thing to arrive in the mail, and if it does you ascertain whether the Guard was actually filming the event with an onboard camera. Then you know how to deal with it. But either way, if the line was broken, you don't need to worry too much.
