yes Brian, all the info is on pods from TNS radio and it comes courtesy mostly of mr.T. It works perfectly and there is evidence of it working.

That's good information komurchu, could you elaborate on the sheriff - baliff - householder - oath etc. Maybe we could post this info for people who need it. Are there any links you would recommend?
Is the sheriff likely to abide by the law? I had one of these Baliff's visit my mother's house looking for me about a month ago, scary situation I was not there and did not know what to do.
I talked to a hairdresser here in Gorey, he told me the Baliff/Sheriff took his car (they take late model vehicles as they can be converted to cash quickly) and then cleaned out the cashregister - like common theives.

The sheriff is already on his oath, you must accept his oath of office preferably in writing and in advance of any action against you, he then must uphold and protect your rights.

Has anyone got information on the sheriff that will empower an individual caught in this situation?
I believe you can put a sheriff or his baliff on their oath by stating so if there are outside your house attempting to gain entry. Not sure if this will make any difference especially if there are a group of them with gardai, herd instinct usually takes over.

Sneaky bastards! That's the way they work alright. If I was him I'd move back in, although I know there are other factors involved for this man.
